Robert Rivas for Supervisor

Robert Rivas is a rising leader in San Benito County. He's bright, articulate, knowledgeable, hardworking, and honest. He's a part-time firefighter and former aide to Assemblymember Simon Salinas. He has overseen numerous local measures that helped to create jobs and protect our rural character.
Robert is well aware of the problems facing small town communities. He'll work hard to create local jobs while balancing the budget. He'll also work hard to ensure our community remains a safe place to live.
San Benito County needs new leadership and a new direction. We're facing the highest unemployment in recenmemory. Crime is up. Services are being cut. Smart growth has come to a standstill. And our home values are plummeting--diminishing our local tax base and threatening local public safety services.
These tough times call for a new direction for San Benito County.
It's time to elect new leaders and allow them to forward productive, innovative agendas. The time of inaction and apathy on behalf of local leaders must come to an end. Voters want change and the future of our community depends on it.
Most candidates are worried about furthering their political careers. Robert is a different kind of leader. He's not running for County Supervisor to further a career--he's running to build a better community and to serve the public. I've encouraged him to run because I know we need young leaders like him to fix the tremendous problems that confront us today and tomorrow.
Robert Rivas will bring the change that San Benito County needs!
