Leonard McNeil for West Contra Costa Wastewater Board

Leonard McNeil served three terms on the San Pablo City Council. He earned a BA degree (cum laude) in Government from California State University, Sacramento and a Master’s degree (magna cum laude) from San Francisco State University. He is a Political Science professor at Contra Costa College. In 2012, he received the Guardian of Health Award from the California Center for Public Health Advocacy for his leadership role in developing the Health Element of the city of San Pablo General Plan. He holds certificates in non-profit consulting and grant writing. He has over 40 years of experience in community activism for social change. He has extensive, first-hand experience in community technology. He is a member of the Friends of the San Pablo Library and was appointed by the San Pablo City Council to the Contra Costa County Library Commission. He was among the first cohort of Fellows with the Zero Divide Foundation. He is the Principal Owner of Asset-based Consulting. He serves on the Measure Q Citizens Advisory Committee.
