LaborVote.org was created as a
resource of information for working people in Silicon Valley. The lives of working people are heavily impacted by more
issues than we could ever address in one website. To assist you in getting
the answers you need to make informed decisions on Election Day,
we have included an extensive list of other websites that you can visit.
We
encourage you to spend time exploring the position(s) candidates
have on issues important to you.
We ask that you take into consideration the impact of supporting, or more importantly not supporting a candidate
will have on you, your family’s and your neighbor’s ability to maintain
a decent standard of living. These would include a decent wage, affordable health
care and an equitable retirement.
Our Mission
- To increase political involvement among the
membership of the various Labor Unions affiliated with the Santa Clara & San
Benito Building & Construction Trades Council and the South Bay Central Labor
Council.
- To inform working people by providing them
information from various sources.
- To create a resource for historical, current and future issues
that directly and indirectly impact working families in our community.
- To focus on issues that directly affect the
lives of our members, working families and residents of this great
community.
- To register to vote as many working families as
possible in an effort to support and further the causes of those who
Labor for a living.
